January, opening of a restaurant in Paris LA MAISON BLANCHE

Julien Gleize, originally from Le Jardin des Sens is the executive chef there since January 2002.

On april 12th, Jacques Pourcel is elected president of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Cuisine Française

On December 20th, opening of a second restaurant LA COMPAGNIE DES COMPTOIRS in Avignon (in the south of France as well), managed by Barthélémy Bruni and the chef is Élie Gandon.

In December, big program with the National Education System based on the Creation of a cook with children from the Parisian suburbs, aged between 13/15 years. Pictures and paintings by the artist Hervé Di Rosa. This book is for young children 8/12 years old.

2002
January 26th, 2002 . Opening of a bread and pastry SAVEURS SUCRÉES du Jardin des Sens in Montpellier with Lionel and Nathalie Hautbois.

February 2002, 15/20 on the Gault Millau for the Compagnie des Comptoirs in Montpellier.

May 11th, opening of the Compagnie des Comptoirs – La Plage, in La Grande Motte. Open during the summer time only (May-September). The owner is Nicolas Perez. For the season 2002, the director was Jean-Pierre Alho and the chef de cuisine was Ruddy Gounel.

June 2002, publication of SENSart magazine n°1. Its theme is about different ways of life.

Summer 2002, creation of a perfume for La Compagnie des Comptoirs. It is made between the three associates and Christophe Chabaud who was able to recreate the atmosphere of their cuisine through a few sents.

September 6th, Opening of a restaurant in Tokyo, Sens & Saveurs, located on the 35th floor of a building facing the Imperial Palace.

October 2002, publication of SENSart magazine n°2. Its theme is about different ways of life.
November 2002, creation of the Atelier de cuisine (Cooking-house) for adults as well as for children from 7 to 12 years old.

2003
May 20th, reopening of La Compagnie des Comptoirs – La plage at La Grande Motte under a new name La Compagnie des Comptoirs – Effet Mer. Opened during the summer time only (May-September). The owner is Nicolas Perez. For the season 2003, the manager is Xavier Meot and the chef de cuisine is Ruddy Gounel.

June 20th, publication of SENSart n°3, quaterly magazine which is the image of a true way of life, a support to discover art in all its meanings, through the talent of various artists.

June, opening of Sens, place of quality fast-food, proposing quality products such sandwiches, salads, soups, fresh fruits or vegetables juices with Mediterranean inspirations and also some attractive desserts.

15 October, publication of “Destinations cuisines from Jacques and Laurent Pourcel” (cuisine of the world). This book is edited by Philippe Lamboley, about La Compagnie des Comptoirs, with for main subjects, travels and exotic ingredients, crossing India, the Mediterranean countries, Middle-East, Turkey, Northern-Africa, Asia, America, Africa.

2004 projects
February, after Tokyo, still in association with Olivier Château, Jacques and Laurent Pourcel will export their image and cuisine in the capital (city) of Thailand. A restaurant and a lounge bar at the top of the Dusit Thani Hotel.

Opening of two new restaurants of La Compagnie des Comptoirs in London and Barcelona.

Opening of the « La table d'Augusta» with La carte by Jacques & Laurent Pourcel, in the Villa Augusta complex in Saint-Paul 3 Châteaux (Vaucluse area in France).
