Jacques and Laurent Pourcel, unquestionably twin
brothers and sons of an old wine growers, decided before meet up
together, to leave separately their passion for the cuisine, accumulated
in this way, experience and culinary culture.
Laurent Pourcel worked at Michel Bras and
Alain Chapel, as for Jacques, he worked for Michel Trama, Marc Meneau
and Pierre Gagnaire
Olivier CHÂTEAU met Laurent at Michel Bras
and Jacques, at Michel Trama.
In 1988, they opened Le Jardin des Sens as a restaurant
after they fell in love at first sight with a little, end of the
century, abandoned house a few minutes away from the heart of Montpellier.
After many different steps of restoration, Jacques,
Laurent and Olivier sharpened the decoration and in this strongly
modern atmosphere with a Mediterranean garden, one can find a welcoming
ambiance devoted to gastronomy.
In 1998, the twin brothers get the three Michelin
stars for their creative and at the same time refined cuisine.
